The TeRRIFICA project presented at the International Geographical Union webinar

The results of the TeRRIFICA project related to activities around the preparation of the adaptation plan for the Poznan Agglomeration, taking into account civic knowledge and co-creating solutions with citizens for adaptation and mitigation to climate change, were presented at the webinar ‘The Response of Local Governance to the Global Climate Emergency’ organised by the IGU Commission Geography of Governance. The presentation entitled ‘Experiences with developing the climate adaptation plan for the Poznań Agglomeration in Poland – Co-creation with engaging citizens, scientists, and local government’ was given by representatives of the Poznań TeRRIFICA team – Prof. Paweł Churski and Patryk Kaczmarek.

Created by the IGU, the webinar took place during a week of important events for climate policy. Events in the form of the27th Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC, the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP 17), and the meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement (CMA 4) were a great opportunity to meeting on webinar to share experiences related to local climate policy governance.
