After graduating from the International Sakharov Ecological University in Minsk, Natallia Andreyenka worked as environmentalist and contributed to establishing EMS at enterprises. Since 2007 is engaged in the NGO “Ecopartnership”, implementing projects aimed at cross-sector cooperation for environment protection in Belarus. Personal spheres of interest include energy efficiency, renewable energy and climate change adaptation. Most remarkable projects include creation of national school network promoting education on EE and CC, complex analysis and cross-sector dialogue for promotion of EE in construction and refurbishment (e.g. energy performance certification of buildings), implementation of more than 20 various local pilot projects.

Currently, Natallia Andreyenka leads the EU project “Strengthening the Covenant of Mayors Movement in Belarus” that assists municipalities in adhesion to the international initiative for reducing carbon emissions by at least 30% by 2030 and adapting to climate change. Over 3 years of implementation, more than 50 events were organized, 37 new cities joined the initiative, 10 local Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans were developed, more than 20 CSOs actively support local authorities in Covenant activities.
