Dmitry Burenkin
Dmitry Burenkin is responsible for pilot activities in Minsk, Belarus: collaboration with stakeholders from NGO and local communities, monitoring and analysis of best practices in Adaptation to Climate Change in the pilot region.
With a bachelor’s degree in Linguistic with Intensive Course on Energy advice and Energy efficiency and Climate course Dmitry has over 10 years’ management experience in projects in the field of energy and climate in Belarus. He oversees issues related to energy saving and construction, promotes ideas for the development of renewable energy in Belarus.
Dmitry also has a broad experience in development of scenarios, strategies and plans in the field of Energy efficiency, renewable energy and Climate, preparation of Sustainable Energy Action Plans, police work and fundraising. Throughout his career, he has had the communicate with partners and donors such as European Union, UNDP, Sida, Norwegian Society for Nature Conservation, Nordic Council of Ministers and other.
Outside of work Dmitry enjoys traveling with family, playing intellectual games and football.
