Climate Innovation: reimagining everything – Conference with Kirsten Dunlop

Climate change is affecting the system that has allowed the current standard of living in developed countrties. How can we mainain this high standard of living without compromising the Earth. Anthropic changes deeply transform natural systems. Therefore, technology must incorporate criteria that regenerate and reinforce the optimal conditions of the biosphere. What technologies make the planetary sustainability possible? Can technology curb climate change? What criteria must be considered when developing technological innovation?

The guest speaker on this occasion will be Kirsten Dunlop, executive director of Climate-KIC (Utrecht).

The conference will be chaired by Lorenzo Chelleri, director of the International Master’s Degree « City Resilience Design and Management », senior researcher at the International University of Catalonia (UIC) and chairing the Urban Resilience Research Network (URnet). He is also part of the UN group for the creation of the International Urban Resilience Institute (URI).

The conference will be in English and there will be simultaneous translation into Catalan.
