On May 6-7, 2021, the first part of the TeRRIFICA #OurClimateFuture2030 Summer School in the pilot region of Poznan took place as part of the Planner’s Days: Environment-Climate-Space organized by the Academic Scientific Circle of Spatial Management.
On the first day of the meeting, students and doctoral students from all over Poland had the opportunity to present their scientific speeches on the climate, environment and space. The meetings were held in four panels, where 22 participants presented 19 presentations. They represented the most important research centers in Poland, connected not only with spatial planning and geography, but also with architecture, environmental protection, landscape architecture, urban planning and art.
On the second day, the enrolled participants took part in workshops carried out by the Polish TeRRIFICA team, which consisted in creating more friendly places in the place of negatively climatic hot-spots. After the theoretical and creative part, users moved to the virtual world using the Arkio application. The developed concepts and visions from the workshops will be continued in the next part of the Summer School.
We would like to invite you to the workshops on June 10, where we will continue to develop a common vision of the climate in 2030. We want to develop the vision on the basis of, among other things, ideas collected on our virtual board, which we invite you to use now: https://bit.ly/3bkWwUa
